The Omni TH will accommodate a wide range of lab applications such as tissue homogenization, emulsions and suspensions, cell disruption, protein extraction and research. It is lightweight enough to be hand-held and can also be mounted to a motor stand for lengthier processing. Omni TH Motor has a variable speed controller that allows for speeds of 5,000 to 35,000 rpm.
The patented Omni Tip™ plastic generator probes, available in both soft tissue and hard tissue versions, are for customers concerned with cross contamination. Engineered from a durable plastic, they come in two different configurations for soft tissue and hard tissue homogenizing. The outer tube of Omni Tips is made of Lexan 144R, a polycarbonate. The inner shafts are made of Ultem 1000, a polyetherimide. They are cost-effective, can be disposed of after use or autoclaved several times, and will handle a wide range of applications including PCR, RNA, and DNA sample preparation for multiple users making it a suitable solution homogenizer solution for a small laboratory. Stainless steel or Omni Tip™ hybrid generator probes are also available and recommended for larger and tougher sample types.
Note: Generator probes and Omni™ plastic probes are generally sold separately unless part of a package. Omni Tip probes included in packages are in a standard size of 7 mm (Diameter) x 110 mm (Length). Please defer to specific product part number for details of inclusion.
Packages may include a generator probe tool kit or motor stand assembly for post mounted operation. Motor stand assemblies include 5" by 8" epoxy resin base plate, 19" tall by 3/8" diameter stainless steel support post, mounting clamp assembly, and cross rod assembly.
