The Revvity Protocol Program Flags numbered 16 - 30, plus flags for the Self-Normalization and Calibration (SNC) protocol and Priostat counting, are conveniently kitted in a partitioned box for use with the Tri-Carb Liquid Scintillation Analyzer (Models 4810TR, 4910TR, 5110TR, and Quantulus GCT 6220).
These are numbered plastic devices with encoded, reflective metal used to identify assay counting parameters for a sample set. Counting parameters used by the instrument correspond those defined during the assay definition process (predefined by Revvity for the Direct DPM Assay). These assay parameters become a functional part of a protocol once an assay is associated to a protocol number.
The Priostat flag is used with a cassette containing priority samples. The Priostat function in the QuantaSmart software will interrupt the current protocol to count a set of priority samples.
The SNC protocol flag will initiate the calibration and normalization of the instrument during the Instrument Performance Assessment (IPA) and occurs automatically by leaving the (SNC) and IPA cassette (containing the 14C calibration standard, unquenched Tritium standard, and background standard) on the instrument counting deck at all times.
