The PrimeStore® MTM 12 mL tube is a self-contained, ready-to-use system pre-filled with 3mL of Molecular Transport Medium (MTM) a proprietary solution designed to inactivate pathogens and stabilize nucleic acids (RNA and DNA). This device enables the safe collection, ambient-temperature transport, and rapid laboratory processing of clinical specimens without the need for cold chain logistics. As the first and only FDA cleared inactivation medium for both RNA and DNA targets, PrimeStore® MTM established a new category of Class II medical devices in March of 2018. It is widely regarded as the gold standard in molecular transport media, with proven performance supported by extensive peer-reviewed studies demonstrating its efficacy, stability, and broad application in diagnostic workflows.

Compatability:

PrimeStore® MTM is compatible with a broad range of molecular testing workflows, including RT-PCR, qPCR, digital PCR, and next-generation sequencing (NGS). It supports both manual and automated nucleic acid extraction platforms and has been validated with commercial and laboratory-developed tests (LDTs). Note: Laboratory validation is recommended to ensure compatibility with specific assays and instrumentation.
