Platinum Skimmer Cone, Cold and Hot Plasma (1341430) – Suitable for Thermo Q/RQ/TQ ICP-MS. Specifically designed to operate ONLY with the Cold Plasma Lens Kit (1341380). This skimmer cone can be used with the Cold Plasma Lens Kit to operate in both Cold (RF Power 550 W) and Hot Plasma conditions (RF Power 1550 W). Although the highest cost option compared to Ni, it is typically the most durable, longest-lasting, and because it runs hotter it requires less frequent cleaning. Use 10x Magnifier Inspection Tool with Built-In LED Illumination (70-803-1923) to inspect cone orifice condition. Use Skimmer ConeGuard (70-803-1028) to protect cone threads during cleaning. When not in use, keep cones stored in original packaging for protection. For high matrix tolerance and high sensitivity, we recommend TG1048-Pt. For Robust plasma conditions, we recommend TG1045-Ni.
