Whatman Puradisc FP 30 Cellulose Acetate Syringe Filter, 0.2 µm, sterile 50/pk
Standard inlet and outlet luer connectors.
Optional sterile, medicalgrade blister pack.
Tubetip format (optional) for accurate dispensing into a microvial.
Choice of membrane or glass microfiber filter media.
Choice of filter sizes (4 mm, 13 mm, or 3NA mm) to minimize sample loss.
Sterile option for critical applications.
Puradisc filters are produced from pigmentfree polypropylene or polycarbonate with standard inlet (female luer lock) and outlet (male luer) connections, unless otherwise stated. Options include a sterile, medicalgrade blister pack for critical applications and a special tube tip outlet that allows the sample to be accurately dispensed into a microvial, eliminating air lock.
Puradisc syringe filters for routine syringe filtration
Puradisc syringe filters cater to a wide variety of sample types and applications, including capillary electrophoresis, biological preparations, protein filtration, and UV spectroscopy sample preparation. Different Puradisc membrane media support diverse chemical solvents and compounds.
Puradisc is available in the following membrane materials: regenerated cellulose (RC), cellulose nitrate, nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyethersulfone (PES), polypropylene, polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), and cellulose acetate.
Cytiva's Whatman Puradisc line is a comprehensive syringe filter portfolio used in a variety of applications. Cytiva also offers highperformance GD/X syringe filters with a multilayer glass fiber prefilter for filtering larger volumes of hardertofilter samples.
Cellulose nitrate membrane filters
Cellulose nitrate membranes have high mechanical strength, high flexibility, high flow rates, and low extractable levels. These features make the membrane a good choice for trace element analysis applications. However, they also exhibit high protein binding so are unsuitable for protein recovery applications.
